RE: battery for 2003 palomino bronco 600
I have a Bronco 1200...it did not have any internal wiring for battery power, but I installed battery wiring/power with an inverter...not sure what the floorplan layout is on the 600, but in the 1200, I put the battery box next to the fresh water tank, and have it vented outside on the port side of the camper.

Smallest Window A/C Unit
Hello,
I am trying to find the smallest window A/C unit made. I have a very small window opening 15"W x 12"H...anyone have any ideas? I do not want to cut any holes in my TC or put in a roof unit...I will only need it 4 or 5 times a year. Portable A/C unit is an option I have been considering, but I would rather have a small window unit.

I have a Palomino 1200 on a 2007 F250 4x4 full size bed. Its a popup which is not only light , but has a lower profile when travelling off road. I really liked the full size door that the Palomino offers. I use mine almost exclusively off road (mountains, beach, etc)..I went without any head facilities to keep the weight down, and I have never had any regrets..the women I invite sometimes have a different take on that though. Basically, anywhere I can take my truck , the camper can go...still have to be careful, the camper is a little wider than the truck. I think Palomino has a pretty bare bones camper for short bed trucks.

Connecting Generator to Camper
I just bought a Honda EU2000i gererator, and have a question about connecting it directly to my camper. Is it as simple as finding the right adapter that has a standard 110V "household male connector" (for the generator side) and a 30A plug on the other end for the camper side? I do realize that I will only be bringing in 20A to the camper, and will have limited amount of power to run things...but is it as simple as that? Or am I missing something?

I own a 2006 Bronco popup 1200...I did a lot of checking with different manufacturers, and the Palomino was certainly far less expensive. However, there is definitely a quality difference between the Palomino Bronco and (for example) the Outfitter Brand...BUT, for what I need it for, it was worth it for me going with the Palomino. I have had no problems with my camper, but I definitely notice some lesser quality things about it.

Roof A/C on a Pop Up?
I have a Palomino Bronco 1200 truck camper. Anyone have any experience with a roof top A/C unit on a pop up camper. I have a standard vent already on the roof toward the aft of the camper, so I think retrofitting a roof top A/C should be fairly simple. However, The Polar Cub I am looking at shows 101 LBS...sounds awfully heavy to be putting on the roof of a pop up truck camper. Anybody aware of lighter ones, I don't think I will need more than 6,000 BTUs. Thanks in advance.

I just checked out the Polar Cub you spoke about...it says its 101 lbs....dont you think thats a little heavy for a pop up?

The EU2000i will only be powering the portable A/C....I have a battery bank to power the rest of the camper....I guess the best thing will be to buy the A/C and see what happens, I can always take it back. Thanks for all the advice.

the portable a/c I am looking at has the following specs:
# Power Consumption Cooling: 880W
# 7,000 BTU
# Operating Current: 7.1 amps
# Power Supply: 115V / 60Hz
the Honda EU200i specs:
AC Output: 120V
2000W max.(16.7A)
1600W rated (13.3A)
I am no electrical engineer, but according to my math...it should handle it no problem. But I also know that strange things happen in the real world.

Honda EU2000i Generator & Portable A/C
Hoping to get some real world experience before I do something stupid. I have a Palomino pop up. I am planning a trip to Tennesee this summer for an extended stay. It is going to be hot, and I was thinking about getting a 7,500 BTU portable A/C unit to take with me. My question is whether the EU2000i will have enough juice to fire up the A/C? Also, does anyone have any experience with portable A/C units in their truck camper? I realize it takes up a bit of room, but I can deal with that, if it will keep the camper cooler. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
